What is the difference between PPGI and PPGL?
The main difference between PPGI and PPGL is their purpose and field of application.
PPGI (Prepainted Galvanized Iron) refers to galvanized steel plate, after surface treatment, coated with one or more layers of organic coating, usually used in building materials, home appliances, automobiles and other fields. PPGI has a variety of coatings, including PE, HDP, PVDF, SMP, acrylic, PVC, etc. These coatings provide good weather resistance, corrosion resistance and decorative, and are widely used in construction, home appliances, automobiles and other industrie.
PPGL (Prepainted Galvalume) refers to steel plates coated with aluminium and zinc, which are also surface treated and coated with one or more organic coats. Similar to PPGI, PPGL is also widely used in building materials, home appliances, automotive and other fields, but its main component is aluminum-zinc alloy, which provides good corrosion resistance and aesthetics, especially suitable for applications requiring high corrosion resistance.
In general, PPGI and PPGL are surface treated steel plates, the main difference is that their substrate is different, PPGI is mainly galvanized steel, while PPGL is aluminum plated zinc steel. Both are widely used in construction, home appliances, automotive and other industries, but the specific choice of materials depends on the specific use environment and requirements.
